About

Rev. John Cullinan is pastor of the Unitarian Church of Los Alamos, New Mexico, where he’s served since 2007. He received a Master of Divinity from Meadville Lombard Theological School in Chicago, and a BA in Theatre Arts from Marquette University (CJPA ’94) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He currently serves as a Good Officer for the Mountain Desert chapter of the UUMA.

John’s book, Your Life is a Gospel, is a collection of sermons spanning his first two years of ministry in Los Alamos, and represents a primer in Unitarian Universalism for seekers and committed church-goers alike.

John continues his theatrical endeavors as an actor, writer, and director all around northern New Mexico, and engages in the spiritual practice of improvisation at Santa Fe Improv. He has produced several chancel dramas and complete multi-generational services incorporating theatrical arts and puppetry.

John is a Massachusetts native and a midwest transplant, and seems to be moving further west the older he gets. He currently resides in Los Alamos with his wife, daughter, and a small menagerie of neurotic animals.
